In the seventies, blacksmiths generally had their own blacksmith shop, there was a furnace used to calcite iron billet, and there was a large hand-pulled bellow at the junction of the stove, mainly used to control the temperature and strength of the fire, generally known as controlling the fire. The fuel used in the furnace is charcoal and coal, the requirements for charcoal and coal are relatively high, only about ten kilograms of coal in a hundred kilograms of coal can be used to strike iron,
the charcoal that can strike iron is called iron charcoal, a blacksmith will generally bring one or two apprentices, and the main job of the apprentice is to use a large iron hammer five or six times larger than his master, to help the master to make tools of the iron blank cooked by the furnace into the desired shape.
在七十年代,铁匠一般都有一个自己的铁匠铺,有一座用来煅烧铁坯的火炉,在火炉的连接处有一个大的用手拉的风箱,主要用来控制火的温度和力度,一般称为掌控火候。火炉所用的燃料有木炭和煤炭,对木炭和煤炭的要求比较高,一百公斤煤炭中大约只有十来公斤煤可以用来打铁,能够打铁的炭叫铁炭,一个铁匠一般会带一到两个学徒,学徒的主要工作是用一把比自己师傅大出五六倍的大铁锤,帮助师傅把用来制作工具的被炉火烧熟了的铁毛坯打成所需的形状。
